I rise in quiet, spirit still, And offer thanks with gentle will. Curtains drawn, the light pours through, A sacred start, each day is brand new. The window opens, the breeze flows wide, It touches my skin and sleepy eyes, A soft hello from Earth and skies. Outside, the trees in silence stand, A gift of green from Heaven’s hand. Their branches sway, their leaves all shine A simple grace, a holy sign. A smile appears, I softly say, “What a gift, this life, this day.” In nature’s arms, my soul takes flight I walk in peace, I walk in light. - Gla Maiyo -
