MOONSTRUCK

I found myself caught within a potent wave's embrace,  Love's current I didn't see coming,  A pleasant shock in its grace. My heart, a treasure unforeseen,  I willingly surrendered whole,  An unexpected journey, it's been,  As you claimed it, heart and soul. Love aflame, In my veins, your love took flight,  A symphony, a heartfelt claim. You, an intruder to my life's scene,  But gladly, I let you stay,  In your heart, I danced serene, Hoping the music never stopped  Pausing just to catch my breath, In this love's exuberant stream, Feeling elated beyond life's depth, Buoyant in love, like in a dream. Your entrance, a joyful stride, Each day, your love I did explore, Sleepless nights, love as my guide,  Reality, now better than before. Love's surprise, a beautiful art,  Unwrapped in moments unforeseen  - Gladwill Maiyo

A CRY OF VICTIMS OF WAR

Image
Lord the Almighty, hear our cry Tried our best but failed Tired and worn out from the war-torn Is life supposed to be like this? Show us your kindness, watch over us The walls are caving in on us Seems dark and scary All is becoming dark and unwieldy Growing close to loosing hope with no strength left Nothing more to hold on to Lord,  we're your children Banish all evil and violence in this world We need this war to end End the bloodshed , enough is enough Relieve the sufferings of the innocent victims of war Lord,  feels like we're giving up Seeing the world fall apart People dying This war is taking a toll on us Please save your innocent children Today we're crying again, praying for peace Grant us your protection and care and someday in the twilight,  we hope to see the light Someday when this time comes we will find our victory and an everlasting peace  Lord the Almighty, see us through - Gladwill Mai...

DIMPLE

World with two innocent souls Brought together by fate They are not always together but know each other perfectly well I’m a hunter The dimple ... my prey My beautiful pearl  and precious stone Humane human am I, the dimple’s hunter So simple but my hunting of her is her vocabulary She’s a great client with style With a triggering effect,  a wave of giddiness sweeping over everyone So exuberant with the dimple driving   people crazy Yes she knows … dignified and intuitive  is her way to go I drum my fingers on surfaces …   yes I do Need to tell her she has to fill my business   coffer However, my hunting is of forbidden prey Not to dare mention at the office Silence becomes the daily sunrise    to wake up to    without mentioning to her,  this dimple,  the shining star to watch from a distance - Gladwill Maiyo

RIGHT DESERVED

Remember this truth: Young or old, rich or poor, black or white, You matter, irrespective of life's hues. Equal we stand, united in human rights' light. In this war for day and night, A battle within, our spirits ignite. For ourselves, for the silent, we fight, Love's message spreads, dispelling the night. "You don't deserve it," they say,  Enough! Ponder, claim freedom's flame. Light draws near, darkness in decay, Hold your voice, let truth pave the way. "You're powerless," their whisper's sway, Yet rise, think, and seize the day. Know, fight, seek justice, say, With rights, you're free as birds in sway. Humanity's unity, freedom we adore, Equality, humanity's glee, In unity we are all free. - Gladwill Maiyo
